Cherokee County narcotics policemen seized 3 unlawful poker machines and $11,142 in cash throughout a prohibited clip joint raid in Gaffney.

Deputies stated policemen raided the home after carrying out surveillance on the home and identifying that illegal activity was occurring there.

Narcotics officers stated they discovered a number of individuals inside the home in addition to 3 illegal poker devices and $11,142 in cash that was benefited from the prohibited clip joint operation.

Deputies stated the individual running the prohibited clip joint operation, Robert Scott Blackwood, is a signed up sex culprit in Cherokee County.

Officers charged and ticketed Blackwood with 3 counts of gambling and unlawful property of poker devices (see this  Issues in poker.)

Blackwood will appear in court on May 4, deputies said.
